Welcome to my blog! My name is Jack Durand and I’m just your average college kid with a penchant for travel. Ever since my first trip overseas to another country, I’ve had a hunger to explore, hike, and learn about the various countries of our planet and the history of the people who inhabit them. I started this website in the spring of my sophomore year of college to showcase my photography abilities as I explore our vast planet. My goal is to become a freelance photographer and show others the beauty our world has to offer. I first plan on taking the most magnificent shots possible of Europe next fall when I study abroad. I will then be touring around Asia and showcasing all this massive continent has to offer. I am only at the beginner stage but my skills are steadily improving as I creep ever so close to graduation. After graduation I will probably be spending a few years teaching English abroad as I simultaneously work as a photographer. I hope you choose to join me on this amazing journey!
